Veteran comedienne Joan Rivers is running the New York Marathon for the first time later this year – at the age of 74.
Rivers, who turns 74 in June, is determined to finish at least half the 26 mile race, which takes place on 4 November.
When asked if she will complete the course on US TV show The View, Rivers said: “Who knows? I’m running four miles up in the country… I’m going to make it at least halfway, damn it.”
Discussing her training, Rivers added: “I run every day for an hour with this b**ch I love very much.”

Joan should join a 1/2 marathon if that is all she can run.
Why sign up for the marathon if she isn’t going to train to
finish it!
