Springer Cancels Radio Show

Published on December 08, 2006 with No Comments

Jerry SpringerJerry Springer has been forced to end his American radio show after being inundated with extra work.

Sixty-two-year-old Springer is attributing his career resurgence to an appearance on ABC’s reality TV series Dancing With The Stars. The star was a surprise hit, and has been flooded with work ever since being voted off the show in October.

Springer has a Budweiser commercial, a TV sitcom role and a movie part in the pipeline – and admits he doesn’t have the time to concentrate on his radio career.

“Radio is a full-time job, and I honestly don’t devote the time that I should to radio,” he says. “I can’t do the job if I’m not going to do it seriously.”

Springer’s Cincinnati-based radio talk show began in January last year and was syndicated to 53 stations across America.
