Comedienne Sarah Silverman’s first ever UK gig failed to impress British comedy fans – she was booed after cutting her much-hyped set in half.
The US funnywoman’s sarcastic style was expected to win over the British audience at her London stand-up debut at the weekend.
But her set soon turned sour, after the warm-up act cancelled its slot and Silverman rushed through a short 40 minute performance.
She was booed and heckled for leaving revellers – who had paid $100 for tickets – unsatisfied.
Some taunted her with chants of, “I’ve seen longer clips on YouTube!” and “Sarah – you’re overrated!”.
