Jews Get Honours

A number of members of Britain’s Jewish community have been recognised in the Queen’s Birthday Honours.

Stephen Poliakoff, writer and director receives a CBE for services to drama. Earlier this year, his TV screenplay Gideon’s Daughter scooped Golden Globe awards for Bill Nighy and Emily Blunt.

Audrey Damazer, Justices’ Clerk at the Ministry of Justice received an OBE.

Geoffrey Shindler, a solicitor gets an OBE for services to the Administration of Justice and Joseph Cohen gets an OBE for services to the Maccabi Youth Sports trust in Manchester.
