Efron’s Feels Guilt Over Award

Published on August 12, 2007 with No Comments

Zac EfronTeen heart-throb Zac Efron felt “extremely guilty” when he joined his High School Musical castmates to accept an award at the Billboard Music Awards last year .

Efron didn’t sing in the first Disney TV movie, but has since sung for real in Hairspray and the upcoming High School Musical 2.

The 19-year-old actor took time out of filming Hairspray last winter to join his co-stars in Las Vegas for the annual ceremony when they picked up the Soundtrack Of The Year gong.

He tells Rolling Stone magazine: “I didn’t even sing on the first album. It wasn’t my voice in the movie. Even though I wanted to do it. So what do you do when the entire cast is supposed to accept an award at the Billboard Awards and your voice is only on the album in a select few lines? I felt extremely guilty.”
