Kirk DouglasHollywood veteran Kirk Douglas has been honoured for his humanitarian work at a ceremony in Los Angeles.

The actor was told he had “saved many lives” by pal Steven Spielberg at the Shoah Foundation’s Ambassadors for Humanity.

Douglas and his wife have funded the construction of 400 playgrounds in LA’s schools.

Amy WinehouseQuantum Of Solace director Marc Forster has confessed Amy Winehouse was his top choice for the new James Bond theme.

Jack White and Alicia Keys eventually landed the job of writing and recording the coveted film theme, but Forster admits he always favoured Britain’s troubled Rehab singer.

He told entertainment news service WENN: “Amy Winehouse always wanted to write the song when I got involved and I felt that was a great idea because she’s also from England, like Bond, and I felt she is such an interesting artist.”

Rogen Unsure Of Ghostbusters Role

Seth Rogen will turn down the offer to star in Ghostbuster 3 if he is not impressed by the script.

The actor loved the original movies starring Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson, and has been linked to a role in the new sequel alongside Steve Carell and Paul Rudd.

But Rogen says he will only star in the picture if it is well written.
