David SchwimmerFormer Friends star David Schwimmer has quashed rumours of a movie version of the hit TV series - blaming the press for fuelling speculation about a reunion.

The show came to an end in 2004 after 10 seasons, but the cast have been dogged by rumours of a possible big screen adaptation ever since.

Funnyman Seth Rogen is desperate to film a full frontal nude scene - because he’s convinced it’s the only way for a comedic actor to succeed in the movie business.

Rogen pulled his pants down to show his naked backside in forthcoming film Zack and Miri Make a Porno.

But he insists it was a captivating performance by his pal, actor Jason Segel, which convinced him that going fully nude should be his next step on set.

Actor Robert Downey Jr has signed a new deal with Marvel Studios to reprise his role in The Avengers.

The star will also appear in two more Iron Man movies as part of the contract, reports industry magazine Variety.

Iron Man 2 is due for release in 2010 while the next installment of The Avengers will hit cinemas in 2011.

Estelle Reiner - who famously said “I’ll have what she’s having” in When Harry Met Sally - has died at the age of 94.

The singer/actress, wife of funnyman Carl Reiner and mother of actor/director Rob Reiner, passed away at her home in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles on Tuesday.

She became a Hollywood legend for her cameo role in the 1989 romantic comedy in which she uttered the immortal line to a waiter at a New York delicatessen after Meg Ryan’s character faked an orgasm.

Actress Tori Spelling had a hard time regaining her pre-pregnancy figure, but looked to JESSICA ALBA for inspiration to shed the weight.

The star welcomed her second child, Stella Doreen, on 9 June, whilst Alba gave birth to Honor Marie a few days earlier, on 7 June.

And it was seeing photos of the slim The Fantastic Four actress that spurred Spelling on to get back in shape.

The 31-year-old - who is the niece of businessman Sir Alan Sugar - received the Best Newcomer award at the ceremony, held at London’s Albert Hall for her role as Roxy Mitchell in EastEnders.

The awards are voted for by members of the public, and Simons beat stars from Casualty, Hollyoaks and Coronation Street to take the prize.

Gwyneth Paltrow and Huey Lewis’ rendition of Cruisin’ in 2000 movie Duets has been voted the worst vocal collaboration of all time, by an online music magazine.

The pair played karaoke champs in the film, and went on to release the Smokey Robinson cover as a single. It reached the number one spot in Australia, but has been singled out as the top flop duet by editors of Spinner.com.

Rockers Slipknot have scrapped their upcoming concert in Israel - blaming “personal and family conflicts” for the cancellation.

The nine-strong band - known for their elaborate on-stage ‘death-masks’ - were due to play in Tel Aviv on November 2.

But now the gig has been cancelled by the group “as a result of sudden personal and family conflicts”, according to Blabbermouth.net.

The pair then left a series of crude voicemail messages on Sachs’ phone, suggesting Brand had bedded 23-year-old Georgina on a sofa and a garden swing.

Craig DavidSinger Craig David is to add ‘doctor’ to his resume - he’s to receive an honorary degree from a UK university next month.

The Walking Away hitmaker will be recognised for his contribution to the music industry and made a Doctor of Music at Southampton Solent University in south-east England.

The ceremony will take place on 7 November, when the university’s students celebrate their graduation.

American Idol judge Paula Abdul has sent thoughts and prayers to the reality show’s former contestant Jennifer Hudson - who is mourning the death of her mother, brother and nephew.

Abdul helped Hudson reach the American Idol final 12 back in 2004. It proved a launchpad for the star and she went on to win an Oscar for her role in movie musical Dreamgirls just three years later.

Dustin Hoffman and Ben Stiller were among the stars honoured at this year’s Hollywood Film Festival Awards Gala in Los Angeles.

The celebrity-studded event in Beverly Hills on Monday night saw Hoffman receive the Hollywood Career Achievement Award. Ben Stiller took home the Comedy of the Year Award.
