Roman PolanskiJewish filmmakers Brett Ratner and Roman Polanski have teamed up to visit the concentration camp where the exiled director’s mother was killed during World War II.

Ratner thought he was just joining his friend for a road trip through Poland and was shocked when Polanski suggested they visit Auschwitz.

The Rush Hour filmmaker says: “Little did I know Roman was going to take me to Auschwitz on an incursion through his Jewish history. Roman’s mother perished at Auschwitz.”
