Amy Winehouse’s mother-in-law has lashed out at the troubled singer’s family for allowing her to carry on performing despite being “seriously ill”.

Georgette Civil, mum of Winehouse’s husband Blake Fielder-Civil, has blamed the star’s turbulent life and subsequent drug abuse on her family - insisting they should stop her from working in a bid to focus on getting better.

Actor David Duchovny’s sex addiction has reportedly prompted bosses at a fashion retail company to reconsider the actor as their spokesperson after removing his image from a New York store.

Duchovny signed on as the face of fashion retailer Johnston And Murphy in July.

A spokesperson for the Nashville, Tennessee-based company said at the time: “We are thrilled. David embodies success and confidence, along with a great sense of style, communicating the ideal image for the Johnston And Murphy brands.”
