Hollywood veteran Kirk Douglas is winning his battle to get African-Americans an official political apology for the institution of slavery.
The Spartacus star has been campaigning for a formal apology for years, urging Congress and presidential candidates to support his fight.
And his efforts appear to have paid off - America’s House of Representatives has passed a formal national apology to descendants of those who were brought to the country as slaves from Africa.
