Dustin Hoffman is grateful to his wife Lisa for helping to give his stalled acting career a jumpstart - because she was the first to notice he was beginning to behave like a retiree.

The 70-year-old had plans to ease into his golden years and enjoy being out of work - until his wife urged him to return to Hollywood, reports the New York Post’s gossip column Page Six.

Kravitz Opens New Studio

Rocker Lenny Kravitz has teamed up with the owners of a luxury hotel in Florida to launch his own state-of-the-art recording studio.

The American Woman hitmaker’s company Kravitz Design Inc. created the recording facility for The Setai in Miami Beach and the studio opened on Wednesday.

The Setai Recording Studio, which measures 2,500 square feet, comprises of two live rooms, a vocal booth, control room, lounge and conference room, all equipped with 5.1 high definition audio.

Barbra Streisand is in negotiations to offer aid and support to Barack Obama as he campaigns to become America’s next President.

The legendary diva’s spokeswoman has confirmed that Streisand and Obama are talking about how she can best be used in the Senator’s race for the White House.

The singer, a fervent Democrat and longtime friend of Obama’s recent party rival Hillary Clinton, is expected to perform at one of the Senator’s upcoming fundraisers.
