Johansson: No Cannes Do

Scarlett Johansson snubbed the premiere of Woody Allen’s latest movie Vicky Cristina Barcelona at the Cannes International Film Festival after movies bosses reportedly refused to cater to her diva demands.

The blonde beauty - who stars in the new movie alongside Penelope Cruz - was expected to grace the red carpet at the French festival on Saturday, but missed the prestigious premiere amid rumours movie bosses at the French arm of Warner Bros Films - the production’s distributors - reportedly denied her extravagant hospitality expectations.

Actress Scarlett Johansson is desperate to launch her album of Tom Waits covers - because she’s anxious for the singer/songwriter’s approval.

Johansson, 23, will make her album debut with a compilation of The Downtown Train singer’s hits when her record Anywhere I Lay My Head is released in the US next week.

The album will feature vocals from David Bowie - who has praised her musical talents - but Johansson admits she has yet to receive approval from Waits himself.
