Abdul Snubbed By MTV

Singer Paula Abdul has been snubbed by music channel MTV - after it refused to play her new single Dance Like There’s No Tomorrow.

The American Idol judge shot to fame in the late 1980’s with exceptional dance routines to tunes including Straight Up and Opposites Attract.

And despite fellow Idol judge Randy Jackson pitching in ideas for the video, critics have branded Abdul’s dance routines “recycled”, following its premiere on the talent show last month.

Natalie PortmanNatalie Portman turned down the chance to star as an ass-kicking Snow White in a kung-fu version of the fairytale.

Martial arts movie maker Jet Li was rumoured to be directing the adaptation, with Portman in the frame play the lead.

The Star Wars actress confirms she was offered the part, and loves the idea - but won’t be terrorising evil queens and dwarves anytime soon.

Winehouse Back At The Top

Amy WinehouseAmy Winehouse has followed her Grammy Awards success by taking her hit album Back To Black back to the top of the UK charts.

A deluxe edition of the LP shot to number one from three, ahead of Goldfrapp’s Seventh Tree in second. Mika’s Life in Cartoon Motion is at number three.
