Amy Winehouse has been banned from travelling to the US to perform at Sunday’s Grammy Awards.

The British singer is nominated for six awards at the prestigious Los Angeles bash - but she won’t be there to perform or collect any prizes, after she was denied a visa.

Embassy staff were forced to decline the star’s request to enter America because she was arrested and fined for possession of cannabis in Norway last October.

Comedian Jerry Seinfeld has ruled out a return to the small screen - because he’s “too old” for TV.

The Bee Movie star rose to fame in the early 1990s in the hit sitcom Seinfeld, but the 53-year-old insists he isn’t interested in reprising his role in another series of the hit show.

He said:  ”I’m old, I’m rich and I’m tired.”

Super producer Mark Ronson is hoping pal Amy Winehouse attends the Grammys in Los Angeles on Sunday - because the event will be “boring without her”.

Winehouse is currently seeking permission to enter the U.S. to attend the star-studded Los Angeles ceremony, where she is nominated for six awards.

But the singer’s alleged drug taking could scupper her chances of being granted a visa, after she was filmed allegedly smoking crack cocaine in footage obtained by a British tabloid newspaper.

Organisers of this Sunday’s Grammys are confident Amy Winehouse will perform at the event - after allocating rehearsal time for the star and her band.

The star - who is nominated for six awards at the star-studded event - was released from rehab on Monday to apply for a US visa, however no decision has yet been made on whether she will be granted entry into the States.
