British funnyman Stephen Fry is annoyed when straight actors are congratulated for playing gay characters.
The star believes it is wrong to hail actors “brave” just because they can realistically kiss other men onscreen.
“I think the fact that I am so well known to be gay makes it very difficult to have a convincing relationship with a woman on screen,” he says. “Straight actors can play gay people and they’re rather congratulated on it. People say, ‘Ooh how brave of you.’”
Comedian Jerry Seinfeld and his celebrity chef wife Jessica have been sued by Missy Chase Lapine, who has accused the pair of copyright infringement and defamation.

Steven Spielberg battles to stop his kids watching his movies, but is sometimes tricked into backing down.
The director is unsure when his youngest kids with second wife Kate Capshaw - Sawyer, 15; Mikaela Spielberg, 11, Destry, 11 - are old enough to check out his scarier movies, like Jaws and Indiana Jones.
“Kids, even in the same family, mature at different rates,” he says. “They usually ask me to see Indiana Jones, which I think is fine for my younger kids.”
