David Blaine is terrified his new sleep deprivation stunt will leave him permanently brain damaged.
The illusionist has been undergoing strenuous physical workouts in order to prepare himself for the feat of staying awake for a record 12 days.
And he admits the obsessive exercising is down to a fear of destroying his brain.

Screen legend Lauren Bacall is determined to keep working at 83, but not if it means tarnishing her glittering career with mediocre roles.
The Oscar nominee refuses to compromise her standards to stay in the limelight and will only make films she respects.
She tells the New York Post: “I realise I’m not going to get any extravagant roles in the blockbuster movies of today. But I want to do good work.”

Troubled songstress Amy Winehouse is the least likely female that men would like to snog under the mistletoe according to lads channel Nuts TV.
In a survey of 323 Men aged 16-44, Winehouse came top of the poll with 48% of those saying they wouldn’t kiss her, coming second was Victoria Beckham with 24% of the votes.
