Spektor On The Mend

Singer/songwriter Regina Spektor is “feeling much better” just days after collapsing before her scheduled performance in Nashville, Tennessee.

Spektor was forced to pull out of the concert at the Ryman Auditorium after a “severe inner-ear infection caused a sudden case of vertigo.”

According to her spokesman Steven Trachtenbroit, Spektor is recovering well after cancelling a second show on Thursday night.

He tells New York gossip column PageSix: “Regina is feeling much better.”

Amy Winehouse’s brother Alex has defended the troubled singer after she was heavily criticised for her performance on the opening night of her UK tour - insisting that “she’s only human”.

Alex Winehouse has backed his sister after her concert in Birmingham, England, was labelled a disaster when fans booed the star for forgetting her words, dropping her microphone and running off stage mid-way through the closing song.
