Solly’s Hit By Fire

Solly'sPolice are investigating what caused one of London’s largest kosher restaurants to be severely damaged by fire.

Solly’s in Golders Green, north west London, was hit by a blaze on Monday which lasted into the early evening and saw 30 firefighters tackling the fire.

Solly’s, which has been a favourite kosher haunt for nearly 20 years, among the public as well as celebrities, suffered damage to its first floor and roof. No one was injured by the blaze which also saw nearby shops close while firefighters were bringing the fire under control.

Bob DylanBob Dylan returned to his Jewish roots at the weekend when he attended services for Yom Kippur in Atlanta, Georgia.

The folk rocker was a special guest at Chabad-Lubavitch of Georgia, where he was called up by his Hebrew name Zushe ben Avraham.

Rolling Stone magazine reports: “Dylan stayed for the duration of the morning services.”

S Club 7 could become the latest British band to reunite after the success of reformed pop acts Take That and Spice Girls.

Former bandmember Rachel Stevens, whose solo career failed to make an impact, is envious of the success of Take That since they reformed last year and the Spice Girls, whose forthcoming reunion tour has generated massive media coverage.

Veteran actress Jane Seymour agreed to appear on US reality TV show Dancing With The Stars to please her elderly mother, who recently suffered a stroke.

The 56-year-old British beauty admits she felt inspired when her ailing mum uttered her first words since the stroke - when the actress told her of her dancing plans.
