R+B star Rihanna has laughed off reports she is dating Hollywood star Shia LaBeouf.

The Umbrella hitmaker, 19, was photographed dining with the Transformer actor, 21, at a Beverly Hills, California eaterie on Tuesday, prompting speculation the pair were dating.

“Me and Shia, we are just friends, you know, we barely even know each other,” she says.

Pulp Ficton director Quentin Tarantino has refused to consider Gwyneth Paltrow for a role in his future films because she is not “trampy” enough.

The producers of the long-awaited Lost Boys sequel are trying to work out Corey Haim’s work visa issues, so he can reprise his character from the original film.

Haim’s co-stars Corey Feldman and Jamison Newlander have already signed on for the sequel, and producers are determined to make it a trilogy of returning stars.

Troubled singer Amy Winehouse will not perform in the United States for the foreseeable future, according to her record label.

Her U.S. label Universal Republic Records have announced her performance at the MTV Video Music Awards in Las Vegas next month will not take place as planned.

Winehouse’s North American tour was originally postponed on 22 August, however Universal have now confirmed it has been cancelled “in a continued effort to support Amy Winehouse’s well-being”.

Mitch Winehouse is terrified by his 23-year-old daughter’s drug addictions, and has resorted to prayer in a bid to save her.

South ParkThe creators of irreverent TV cartoon series South Park have landed a new $75 million deal to make another three 14-episode series for US cable network Comedy Central.

Animator Trey Parker and his Jewish partner Matt Stone have a new contract to produce the cartoon to 2011. The series started in 1997.

“Three more years of South Park will give us the opportunity to offend that many more people,” said Stone.

Bolan was just 29 when he was killed in a car accident in 1977.
