Comedy legend Mel Brooks has started watching his 1974 movie Young Frankenstein in a bid to inspire the forthcoming stage adaptation of the horror musical.
Brooks admits he isn’t totally happy with the show’s ending - just a month before it is due to start previewing in Seattle, Washington - ahead of its opening on New York’s Broadway in November.
Goldie Hawn is set to return to TV for the first time in almost 40 years as the producer and star of an uplifting drama based on Sara Davidson’s new book Leap! What Will We Do With The Rest of Our Lives?
The actress has teamed up with Friends creator Marta Kaufmann to create the series, which, like the book, investigates how individuals approach major life changes.

Legendary actress Lauren Bacall has branded modern day celebrities “stupid” insisting they have ruined the industry.
The 82-year-old star - who was once married to Humphrey Bogart - says she only has respect for serious actors and not those that grace the red carpet.
“I love my profession. I have tremendous respect for it. What I don’t have respect for is the red carpet and the celebrity scene,” she says. “It’s become a zoo. It’s so stupid. They ask you stupid questions: ‘What are you wearing?’ Oh, Christ almighty!”
