David BeckhaamFootballer David Beckham is set to be one of the star guests enlisted by Chabad to raise millions of dollars for its annual To Life Telethon to support projects aimed at helping those less fortunate.

The LA Galaxy player has been approached by the Jewish organisation to appear either live or pre-recorded for the broadcast - which is famous for its dancing rabbis - on September 9.

Broadway bosses dimmed New York’s theatre lights on Friday night to honour the beloved impresario and producer known as Honest Ed.

Ed Mirvish, who restored the Royal Alexandra Theatre in Toronto, Canada and the Old Vic in London and was presented with England’s Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) for his services to theatre, died on 11 July. He was 92.

Pop star Pink is writing a song for fellow Jewish singer Amy Winehouse.

The Get The Party Started hitmaker reckons boozy Winehouse can reflect the emotions and feelings that Pink writes about and even sing its better than herself.

“Amy’s a real singer with the right attitude to carry off dumb stuff I write about,” Pink says.
