The Israeli consulate in New York is hailing as a success the latest issue of men’s magazine Maxim which features semi-naked photographs of women who are all ex-soldiers from the Israeli Defense Forces but others have slammed it.
According to the consulate, the move is aimed at raising awareness of Israel to young American men and the magazine was invited to Israel earlier this year to do the photoshoot.

The Nanny actress-turned-activist has been approached by high ranking politicians who would like to see her taking a political role and now has until “the end of the summer” to decide if she wants to campaign.

British uber producer Mark Ronson has heaped praise on The Charlatans’ Tim Burgesss for making a Transatlantic trek to appear on stage with him at Glastonbury.
Earlier this year Ronson released an album of covers called Version, featuring a host of stars including Lily Allen and Amy Winehouse, but he feared he’d never get the chance to work with his number one idol Burgess.
