Jazz songstress Amy Winehouse has apologised to Sir Elton John for cancelling one of her London gigs earlier this year, after the veteran rocker bought a ticket for the axed show.

John and partner David Furnish bought tickets for the 8 March concert at the Shepherds Bush Empire and were dismayed when Winehouse pulled the plug at the last minute, citing “unforeseen circumstances”.
