Adam Levine’s Maroon 5 have made US pop chart history after scoring the biggest jump to number one ever on the Billboard Hot 100.
The group’s Makes Me Wonder has shot up the chart from number 64 to number one, beating Kelly Clarkson’s previous jump from 52 to the top spot.
The record-breaking feat prevents Avril Lavigne from celebrating a second week on top of both the US album and singles charts; her Girlfriend hit drops a place to number two.
Adam LevineMovie director Sam Raimi is planning to make another sequel to his cult horror classic The Evil Dead.
Raimi made the first ultra low-budget Evil Dead film in the early ’80s. The movie has so far spawned two sequels, Evil Dead II in 1987 and 1992’s Army Of Darkness.
And now Raimi, who is now one of Hollywood’s most in-demand directors thanks to this work on the Spider-Man franchise, wants his older brother Ivan Raimi to write a script for a fourth Evil Dead film.

Comedienne Roseanne Barr is being tipped to replace Rosie O’Donnell on US talk show The View when she leaves in the summer.
Other stars in the running to take over from the entertainer include Joan Rivers, Whoopi Goldberg, Kathie Lee Gifford and Connie Chung - but reports suggest Barr will be the winning candidate.
A source from ABC tells TMZ.com: “They’re missing strong personalities, and that’s what they’re going to need if they want to keep it going.”
