American Idol judge Paula Abdul has slammed reports she has undergone cosmetic surgery, insisting she has only tried Botox.
The former pop star underwent the muscle-paralysing facial treatment in April, and hints her fellow Idol judge Simon Cowell also has a penchant for Botox.
“Check behind my ears! I haven’t had one ounce of work done,” she told American OK magazine. “I had (Botox) done for the first time six weeks ago in my forehead, and it only worked for about two weeks. Simon doesn’t have any wrinkles.”

Actress Natalie Portman’s publicist has fired back at reports the actress is upset she wasn’t invited to attend the 30th anniversary celebrations of Star Wars in Los Angeles.
British tabloids ran with the story yesterday, with Portman quoted as saying the apparent snub was “upsetting” as she would have loved to have been a part of the five-day Star Wars Celebration IV earlier this month.

Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine is lucky to be alive after suffering a freak accident while working out backstage last year.
The This Love singer was rushed to hospital after lacerating his chest when a workout went awry.
“It was one of the most painful things I’ve ever experienced,” he told Blender magazine. “It was really an embarrassing story, but I might as well tell it - I was working out backstage with the kind of cable pulleys that you put onto a doorstop.”

Actress Maureen Lipman has been awarded by the British Listening Books charity for setting an example of the perfect English language role model.
The Pianist and BT television commercial star was honoured for using the language “as an instrument of gaiety and fun as well as learning” at the Hay Festival of Literature and the Arts in Hay-on-Wye in Wales.
She is only the third person to be awarded the annual prize by the charity.
Maureen LipmanVeteran singer Leonard Cohen has accused Sony of exploiting his early records to “maximize profits”.
The record giant has announced plans to reissue Cohen’s first three albums from the late 1960s and early 1970s.

Barbra Streisand has cancelled the opening date of her European tour in Rome next month following international criticism over ticket prices.
Organisers have been forced to scrap next month’s opening show in Rome, Italy, originally slated to take place on 15 June at the city’s Stadio Flaminio, delaying the start of the month-long tour.
Consumer groups in Italy protested against the show due to the expensive price of the tickets, which range from $200 to more than $1200, calling it “absurd and shameful”.

Osbourne is planning to record a third album following her 2002 debut Shut Up and 2005’s follow-up Sleeping In The Nothing.
While Osbourne is yet to name which famous friend she will be singing with, she is regularly spotted partying with fellow Brit Winehouse.
“I want to collaborate with one of my friends but I have to finish my TV projects first,” she says.

Abdul was left bruised and with a fractured toe and broken nose after she tripped over her Chihuahua Tulip on Sunday.
Some media outlets and fans have questioned Abdul’s unusual explanation for her injuries, with some sources claiming she injured herself while throwing a tantrum.

Filmmaker Eli Roth enjoyed making a fake movie trailer for recent double bill Grindhouse so much, he’s decided to construct an entire film out of 20 or so promos.
The Hostel director’s Thanksgiving slasher trailer featured between Robert Rodriguez’s Planet Terror and Quentin Tarantino’s Death Proof.
And now Roth is in negotiations to film 20 to 25 such trailers to be played back-to-back in new movie Trailer Trash, to be shot on a budget of circa $15 million.

Sharon Osbourne has lashed out at KISS star Gene Simmons in a new magazine interview after rocker publicly criticised her family.
