Bryan SingerTom Cruise has been signed up to star in a World War II thriller about a plot to assassinate Adolf Hitler.

The untitled film from X-Men and The Usual Suspects director Bryan Singer is being made for Cruise’s film company United Artists.

The film is said to be based on a number of true stories of plots by both the Allies as well as Germans opposed to Hitler who wanted to kill the Nazi leader.

Tamar YellinA British woman from Yorkshire has scooped $100,000 by becoming the first winner of an international Jewish book award.

Tamar Yellin won the Sami Rohr Prize for Jewish literature for her book The Genizah at the House of Shepher which explores how a women traces the origins of a handwritten bible that is discovered and has a deep history associated with it.

Bar RafaeliHollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio could soon be going under a chuppah with his Israeli girlfriend Bar Rafaeli.

According to US tabloid Star, during the time the couple were in Israel, a secret engagement party for family took place.

A source told the Star that the couple treated guests to fine chocolates and cupcakes before announcing their engagement with a champagne toast.

“Bar said that Leo had asked her to marry him and that she had said yes,” the source revealed.
