Fry Postpones Driving Ban For TV Series

Actor/writer Stephen Fry pleaded with a judge to delay a driving ban - so he could drive a car on screen without breaking the law.
The Gosford Park star was charged with speeding in May last year, but an immediate ban would have left TV bosses in turmoil, as his role in drama series Kingdom required him to drive a vintage Alvis motor.

Retail tycoon Sir Philip Green has hosted a lavish party to mark his 55th birthday in the Maldives.
According to media reports, it cost the Top Shop and BHs owner anything from £6m to £20m to host and saw upwards of 200 of his pals jetting in to the Indian ocean island and featured pop star George Michael belting out his hits.

British film director Micharl Winner has narrowly escaped death after beating a rare disease he caught from eating an oyster.
Winner contracted Vibrio vulnificus - a virus that lives in warm water and is transmitted through swimming with open wounds or by eating shellfish - while holidaying in Barbados over Christmas.
