Actress Scarlett Johansson has heaped praise on her mother for helping boost her career through her extensive knowledge of film.
The Lost In Translation star wouldn’t have enjoyed success in Hollywood without her mother Melanie’s appetite for movie-viewing.
“My mother has seen every single movie ever made, ever,” Johansson says. “She helps me with every movie. I couldn’t do this without her.”

Movie producer Brian Grazer will serve as guest editor for a section of a Los Angeles newspaper later this month, becoming the first of four guest editors a year.
GrazerĀ - who will be responsible for the Los Angeles Times’ Sunday commentary section - will begin his new post on 25 March, with his first task to choose topics and assign them to writers.

Movie moguls Harvey and Bob Weinstein have hired celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe as a creative consultant for their new fashion label Halston.
The movie bosses are branching out into the fashion business and recently purchased the label, which is known for dressing the international jet set in the 1960s and 1970s.
Zoe, born Rachel Zoe Rosenzweig, will also join Jimmy Choo founder and president Tamara Mellon on the company’s advisory board.

Steven Spielberg can add TV ideas man to his impressive resume after developing an idea for a new US cable sitcom.
The movie mogul is the brains behind new 30-minute show The United States Of Tara.
According to trade paper Daily Variety the sitcom will revolve around a married mother of two struggling with a multiple personality disorder.
