Alan ArkinOscar winner Alan Arkin will re-team with his Little Miss Sunshine co-star Steve Carell for the big-screen version of cult TV comedy detective series Get Smart.

Carell has already landed the leading role of secret agent Maxwell Smart in the project. Arkin will play his boss.

The show, which originally aired in the 1960s, was co-created by Mel Brooks.

Anne Hathaway, Dwayne Johnson and Terence Stamp have also been cast in the movie.

Lenny BeigeFunnyman Lenny Beige – the alter-ego of comedian Steve Furst – is making a comeback at a special one-night show in London’s West End, which will pay tribute to performer Anthony Newley.

Once In A Lifetime…A Night Of Newley: The Man And His Music, will be performed at the Pigalle Club in Piccadilly on March 12.

British Comedians Joe Pasquale and Russ Abbot are the latest non-Jews set to take to the stage as Jewish characters in Mel Brooks’ hit musical The Producers.

The pair will star as Leo Bloom (Pasquale) and Max Bialystock (Abbot) in the show at Southampton’s ayflower Theatre, from September 25 – October 13.
