Having already snapped up a bunch of critics awards for the smash hit comedy Borat, funnyman Sacha Baron Cohen is now tipped to take the Golden Globes by storm.
The awards, voted for by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA), are seen as a good indicator of who may get Oscar nominations. Baron Cohen has been shortlisted in the Best Actor – Comedy or Musical category for his role as the Kazakhstan TV reporter.
Stephen Fry Banned From Driving

Actor and writer Stephen Fry has been banned from driving for six months after he was caught speeding.
The 49-year-old Oscar Wilde performer was snapped by a speed camera in Norfolk as he drove 74mph in a 60mph zone.
With nine points already on his licence, magistrates in Kings Lynn then gave him the additional points for his ban as well as a £150 fine.

Radio Hanukkah is a landmark broadcast which will be available to listeners not just in the United State but to anyone with an internet connection who can tune in for free during the transmission dates.
Arnie To Take Part In Chanukah Celebration

Former action man and now Governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger is to take part in the lighting of Chabad’s menorah in Sacramento to mark Chanuakah.
Arnie will be joined by actor Jon Voight at 5.30pm on Friday to mark the first night of the Festival of Lights
Under the theme A Chanukah Of Friendship, this year’s Menorah was painted as part of a project that involves teenage volunteers working with children who have special needs.
Sacha Baron Cohen is to rap his way through the film version of Broadway musical Sweeny Todd after director Tim Burton realised Baron Cohen’s singing was not up to scratch.
According to The Sun newspaper, Baron Cohen who is playing Sweeny Todd’s rival hairdresser Signor Adolfo Pirelli, couldn’t hit all the right notes.
“He is going to do a fantastic job. But he couldn’t cut it with the singing. His voice was too low,” a source on the production said.
Austrian-born jazz trumpeter Oscar Klein died Tuesday in Germany. He was 76.
Klein and his family fled their homeland when Nazi Germany annexed Austria and settled in Switzerland.
Klein, who was self-taught and made over 200 recordings, became a fixture on the jazz club scene in Vienna in the 1950s and went on to play and record with greats including Lionel Hampton, Bill Coleman and Dexter Gordon.
British Comedy Honour For Baron Cohen

Sacha Baron Cohen has been recognised by his comedy peers and has been named Writer Of The Year at this year’s British Comedy Awards.
In the star-studded ceremony, pop queen Madonna had the honour of introducing Baron Cohen to his award. Madonna worked with him on the video for her 2000 hit Music, in which as his alter ego Ali G was Madonna’s limo driver.
