Sacha Baron Cohen as BoratJournalists in San Francisco are just loving Sacha Baron Cohen, so much so that the San Francisco Film Critics Circle have awarded him Best Actor in Borat for his role as the Kazakhstan TV reporter.

The group which is made up of 23 critics from across the Bay Area who work for publications including San Francisco Chronicle, the San Jose Mercury News and SF Weekly said as a collective that Baron Cohen was chosen for “His uproarious portrayal as an impulsive Kazakhstani reporter crossing the US in search of the pulse of mainstream America”.

Steven SpielbergOscar-winner Steven Spielberg is turning his attention to high fashion and developing a TV series with supermodel Christy Turlington and her her husband, actor Ed Burns.

The couple are attached to write a drama series set in the fashion world and based on an idea from Spielberg, who came up with the concept after attending New York’s fashion week.

The storyline will focus on five twentysomethings with fashion jobs such as photographer, designer, makeup artist and model.

Tori SpellingFormer Beverly Hills, 90210 star Tori Spelling and her husband Dean McDermott are expecting a baby boy next year.

Spelling, 33 and McDermott, 39 have been married since May (06) and McDermott has a son Jack, 8, from a previous marriage.

“We are thrilled to be having a son together. Little boys are a ton of fun. We love talking to him. We play tunes for him and watch him kick,” she told People magazine. “He already loves the Dixie Chicks! We went to their concert and he kicked the whole time.”

Legendary actress Miriam Margoyles says that when it comes to retirement, she will leave the UK for her home in Australia.
