Jerry Springer has been forced to end his American radio show after being inundated with extra work.
Sixty-two-year-old Springer is attributing his career resurgence to an appearance on ABC’s reality TV series Dancing With The Stars. The star was a surprise hit, and has been flooded with work ever since being voted off the show in October.
Little Britain’s Matt Lucas is being lined up to play Friar Tuck in the second series of Robin Hood.
TV executives are keen to get Lucas involved in the series and also to being in Tuck after fans complained the roly poly character was left out.
“I’d be delighted if he agreed to play Friar Tuck. I have already mentioned it to him and he said he’d love to do it. The series wants to evolve. He is a great character,” said BBC1 controller Peter Fincham.
