Borat Still At Number 1

Borat still number 1Sacha Baron Cohen’s comedy Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan took in $29 million (£16 million) at the US box office this weekend to hold on to the top spot for the second week in a row.

The bumper weekend raised its 10-day total to $67.8 million (£38 million).

Meanwhile fellow AOJO Sarah Michelle Gellar’s supernatural thriller The Return opened weakly with $4.8 million (£2.6 million) to take the number eight spot in the film top 10.

David BalineCelebrity magician David Blaine will be back on Thanksgiving Day to present to the world his latest trick - escape from shackles while dangling four stories above Times Square in New York.

The event on November 23, is being promoted with value retailer Target and looks set to hijack on rival Macy’s famous Thanksgiving Parade as 33-year-old Blaine’s exploits will herald the start of Target’s two day Thanksgiving sale.

Scarlett Johansson promoting Louis VuittonLost In Translation star Scarlett Johansson has signed on to appear in her second advertising campaign for Louis Vuitton.

The sexy 22-year-old, who has also endorsed products for Calvin Klein and L’Oreal, first appeared in ads for the fashion house in 2004.

Johansson is set to appear in spots for the forthcoming Spring 2007 advertising campaign.
