Harvey WeinsteinHollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein was in London earlier this week as guest speaker at the annual fundraising dinner for children and families charity Norwood.

A record £2.4m was raised at the dinner which saw Weinstein talk about his life and experiences in Hollywood.

1000 guests including Top Shop owner Sir Philip Green, Gerald and Dame Gail Ronson and Sir David Frost attended the event at London’s Grosvenor House.

Peter Kay in The ProducersThe London production of Mel Brooks’ long standing “new” musical The Producers may be ending in London on January 6, but the show will go on in the UK.

From 19 February to 12 May, the hit musical moves to north west England by going to Manchester and will star Phoenix Nights’ Peter Kay in the role of gay director Roger DeBris.

The Shop Girl and Rushmore star portrayed French king Louis XVI, who lived with his bride Marie Antoinette at Versailles, in the period film and amused cast and crew by pretending the famous stately home was really his.
