The British answer to US financial guru Alvin Hall could soon be crossing the pond to educate Americans about their personal finance.
Martin Lewis, the self-styled Money Saving Expert, who also runs the website of the same name with over 600,000 people on his email newsletter is said to be a major draw for US TV bosses.
His book, The Money Diet has been a major hit along with a primetime TV series Make Me Rich.
Aiming to get kids interested in art, London’s Jewish art institution, the Ben Uri Gallery in St Johns Wood is offering an after school event for children over the age of six on 16 November.
From 3.45pm to 5.15pm, children and their parents/carers can “Drop in and find out about the different stories a picture can tell. Try a fun drawing activity based on one of the pictures in the exhibition!”
If you enjoy art and have a spare £100,000 or even £8,000 or you know someone who likes to own art, then a new exhibition by former Soviet Union Jewish artist Michael Rogatchi should be on your list of things to do in December.
Described as “metaphorical expressionist paintings”, the Bolero exhibition takes place at The Gallery in Cork Street in London’s Mayfair from 4 December until 16 December 2006 and will showcase more than 20 pieces from 53-year-old Rogatchi.

Hollywood actress Emma Samms, who made a name for herself in the 1980s soap Dynasty, is taking a short career break and trying her hand as a hairdresser.
The 46-year-old, born Emma Samuelson, is helping raise money for the BBC’s Children In Need Appeal, in the reality show Celebrity Scissorhands, until November 17. So far , viewers have seen her provide manicure services to a pierced punk with studs in his head.

A 16-year-old student from New York is inviting Jews and non-Jews to put on a head covering and make December 22, National Yarmulke Day.
The teenager known as Dan T from New Paltz is looking to involve as many people as possible and is looking to enlist the power of bloggers to get his day better known.
His previous attempt in 2003 gained some interest, but he’s looking for 2006 to be bigger.

Legendary sixties pop star and celebrity Marianne Faithfull has beaten breast cancer.
The 59-year-old born in Hampstead, north west London to Major Glynn Faithfull, a World War II spy and Baroness Eva Erisso, a Jewish Austrian cancelled a forthcoming tour after revealing she was diagnosed with cancer in September.

No sooner will the London production of The Producers close in early January 2007, than it will re-open in another city.
This time, it’s Las Vegas and Producers creator Mel Brooks has even managed to lure The Hoff to play a leading role in the musical which is set to open on January 31 in the entertainment capital of the world.
