The Simpsons Celebrate With Golem

It may be a week after Halloween, but the annual Simpsons Treehouse of Horror will air tonight in the States and there’s a treat in store for Jewish viewers as the legendary Golem makes an appearance.
In the second of the three part special, ‘You Gotta Know When To Golem,’ sees Bart bringing Golem to life and forces him to do whatever he wishes.

Promising an evening of traditional Yiddish song, klezmer and a touch of their own original material, London’s Solomon Sisters are set to bring the house down at the New Spiro Ark Centre.
The dynamic duo of Penelope and Madeline, will be on stage from 8pm on December 2 and and are looking to bring a touch of 1920s New York Yiddish theatre to the British capital.

Celebrated American playwright and screenwriter Israel Horovitz who has written more than 50 plays is to launch a new theatre company in New York in February next year as well as see a number of new productions of his work go on stage.
Horovitz, 67, is the father of Beastie Boy Adam “Adrock” Horovitz and whose autobiographical film Author!Author! starring Al Pacino looked at the life of a broadway author and his family.
