BBC TV news presenters Tim Franks and Katya Adler will be taking on new roles as they move from their current BBC jobs to working at the broadcasting giant’s Jerusalem bureau.

Franks moves from being a roving European Union correspondent, while Adler leaves Madrid for the Middle East.

Franks, who was born in Birmingham, joined the BBC in 1990.

Everyone’s favourite loud mouth Jewish tycoon with a beard who runs Amstrad and is called Sir Alan, may still soon be offering his very own executive toy you can buy which utters phrases including “You’re Fired” from his successful TV show The Apprentice.
