Jewish entertainer, MC Rebbe has been named as a finalist in the world’s largest blog competition, the 2007 Weblog Awards.
Known as “The Rapping Rabbi” and once described as “A cross between Jackie Mason, Mel Brooks and Woody Allen, with a bit of Lenny Bruce’s sharp tongue thrown in”, MC Rebbe’s three-year-old blog was chosen from a shortlist of several thousand to be selected as one of the final 10 in the Best Culture Blog category.

Jewish entertainment and information website, JewishTVNetwork.com is to broadcast online a Kol Nidre service from Los Angeles’ oldest synagogue.
The service, which will be streamed from Wilshire Boulevard Temple on Friday September 21, is said to be the first time such an event has taken place.
Jewish rapper, musician and comic MC Rebbe is up for an award as one of Britain’s best bloggers.
The bearded star of small screen and stage has been shortlisted for a Best of Brit Blog Awards in the ‘Weird & Wonderful’ category. And now he’s now calling on as many fellow Semites to vote for him as it is the great British public who will decide who gets the award.
Zuckerberg Saves Face From Yahoo

Mark Zuckerberg, founder and major owner of student social networking site Facebook has turned down a potential $1.6bn offer from Yahoo to acquire his popular online destination.
The 22-year-old said no to Yahoo’s initial $1bn bid, but according to Britain’s Sunday Times, Yahoo was prepared to up its offer to $1.6bn. According to reports, Zuckerberg owns around 30% of the company.

A 16-year-old student from New York is inviting Jews and non-Jews to put on a head covering and make December 22, National Yarmulke Day.
The teenager known as Dan T from New Paltz is looking to involve as many people as possible and is looking to enlist the power of bloggers to get his day better known.
His previous attempt in 2003 gained some interest, but he’s looking for 2006 to be bigger.
