Jewish entertainer, MC Rebbe has been named as a finalist in the world’s largest blog competition, the 2007 Weblog Awards.

Known as “The Rapping Rabbi” and once described as “A cross between Jackie Mason, Mel Brooks and Woody Allen, with a bit of Lenny Bruce’s sharp tongue thrown in”, MC Rebbe’s three-year-old blog was chosen from a shortlist of several thousand to be selected as one of the final 10 in the Best Culture Blog category.

Beastie Boys star MCA, aka Adam Yauch, is to make a virtual appearance in skateboard king Tony Hawke’s new videogame Proving Ground.

The Sabotage hitmaker will join the likes of punk icon Travis Barker and Kiss star Gene Simmons, who have appeared in past Hawk videogames.

Players will be able to control the virtual Beastie Boys star as he skateboards wearing a suit, tie and dark sunglasses.

A video showing Chief Rabbi Sir Jonathan Sacks letting his hair down and dancing a Scottish jig at a wedding has surfaced on popular video sharing site YouTube.

In the video, which was taken on a mobile phone, Sir Jonathan is seen dancing and laughing with a group of men wearing a kilt, Scottish flag and a multi-coloured cardboard crown.

According to the poster of the video, djacobson82, Sir Jonathan was attending a wedding.
