Actress Alicia Silverstone has turned her hand to writing - she has penned a book on vegan dieting.
The Clueless star, who has been a vegan for 10 years and is an animal welfare activist, wrote the tome, entitled The Kind Diet, in a bid to promote healthy, natural eating.

A fictional energy drink that features in Ben Stiller’s next movie Tropical Thunder is being turned into a real product.
Booty Sweat pops up throughout the comedy, which is due to be released on 15 August.
Now Paramount Pictures want to cash in, by producing it and marketing it alongside the movie.
Seinfeld Denies Plagiartism Claims

Celebrity chef Jessica Seinfeld has denied claims she stole recipes from fellow cook Missy Chase Lapine to use in her own book.
Lapine sued Seinfeld and her comedian husband Jerry earlier this year for copyright infringement and defamation.
Lapine claimed the recipes in Jessica Seinfeld’s best selling cookbook Deceptively Delicious are “brazenly plagiarised” from those in her own book, The Sneaky Chef: Simple Strategies For Hiding Healthy Foods In Kids’ Favourite Meals.

A New York chef has invented a luxury version of one of the city’s staple foods - the $1,000 bagel (£500).
While many bagel bakeries in London charge no more than 50p for their version, you can now splash out over £500 for the world’s most expensive bagel.
Solly’s Hit By Fire

Police are investigating what caused one of London’s largest kosher restaurants to be severely damaged by fire.
Solly’s in Golders Green, north west London, was hit by a blaze on Monday which lasted into the early evening and saw 30 firefighters tackling the fire.
Solly’s, which has been a favourite kosher haunt for nearly 20 years, among the public as well as celebrities, suffered damage to its first floor and roof. No one was injured by the blaze which also saw nearby shops close while firefighters were bringing the fire under control.

Two dishes are currently on offer: marinated dhania masala and marinated sundried tomato and basil pieces. Just add the appropriate accompaniment to each dish, rice for the masala and pasta for sundried tomato and you’ve got your meal all sorted.
