Rocker Lenny Kravitz is to be given a stage makeover after Gucci designer Frida Giannini agreed to create the star’s outfits for his forthcoming European tour.
The American Woman singer will showcase 20 new outfits by Giannini in his opening concert on the Love Revolution roadshow, which is due to kick off on May 29 in Vigo, Spain.

Natalie Portman has collaborated with a US fashion firm to launch a range of vegan footwear.
The Natalie Portman Collection - made in partnership with specialty shoe retailer Te Casan and the actress’ stylist Kate Young - will feature 20 pairs of limited edition, hand-crafted designs that are completely animal-friendly, with a price tag of $200 each.

Donna Karan is amazed she became a world famous fashion designer - because she was useless at fashion school.
The couturier was even told she had no hope of becoming a designer, after trashing outfits and flunking exams.
“I loved fashion. But I wasn’t a very good student. Failed typing, failed draping, you know,” she says. “I had a little ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) problem. Sewing? Oh forget it. I burnt my dress. They told me I would never make it as a fashion designer at all.”

Israeli model Bar Rafaeli has shunned the title “supermodel” given to her, insisting the term should only be used to describe the women for whom it was coined.
The on/off girlfriend of Leonardo DiCaprio maintains Elle Macpherson, Cindy Crawford, Christy Turlington, Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell were the original supermodels in the 1990s, and the label should be reserved for them.

Troubled songstress Amy Winehouse has a found an unlikely fan in Karl Lagerfeld - the fashion designer has likened the star to Brigitte Bardot and hailed her as a “style icon”.
Lagerfeld admires the Rehab hitmaker for her bold, beehived-shaped hairstyle, and even recreated the style on the models at his recent Chanel show in London.

Leonardo DiCaprio’s model girlfriend Bar Rafaeli has been has been exempted from military service in her native Israel - and she is thrilled.
Now she is a successful catwalk queen, the country’s government has allowed Rafaeli to skip the service, mandatory for all 18-year-old men and unmarried women.
“I don’t regret not having been drafted . . .because I made out big,” said the 22-year-old. “Why is it good to die for one’s country? Isn’t it better to live in New York?”

Designer Marc Jacobs is threatening to boycott future New York Fashion weeks, after a furious row with organisers of the event.
Jacobs was incensed when his late running show on Monday was rumoured to be the result of a drinking binge.
But the couturier insists he was held up by last minute design alterations.
