Troubled songstress Amy Winehouse is up against Lily Allen at this year’s Vodafone Live Music awards to see who will be crowned Best Live Female.
And fellow Jew and Winehouse producer Mark Ronson is also up for an award in the Best Live Male.
The Vodafone Live Music Awards will take place in London on September 19.

It’s been the most Jewish of all the Big Brothers and now another contestant, has been revealed as having a kosher connection, bringing the total numder of Jewish housemates to five.
In a late-night philosophical debate between 31-year-old Greek gallery researcher Gerry Stergiopoulos and geeky 36-year-old museum worker Jonty Stern, Stergiopoulos’ Jewish origins were revealed after Jonty reeled off a list of all the Semitic housemates. “Ziggy, Jonathan, me, you (referring to Stergiopoulos), and Carole, ” he said.
Hairspray star Zac Efron is set to step into Kevin Bacon’s dancing shoes for a remake of yet another eighties classic -Footloose.
Efron is reuniting with High School Musical director Kenny Ortega to play streetwise teen Ren McCormack, Moviehole.net reports.
The remake is likely to be expanded from a dance movie to a full blown musical.
While Bacon was in his mid-20s playing McCormack, at 19 Efron is the perfect age.

Actor Daniel Radcliffe has revealed he has the hots for Israeli-born actress Natalie Portman after seeing her in the 2004 film Garden State.
The kosher Harry Potter star, 17, is eight years younger than Portman, but counts her as one of his favourite women.
“Not only is Natalie Portman beautiful, she’s a great actress, too. I think my favourite film of hers is Garden State with Zach Braff,” he says. “It’s unforgettable. When I first saw it, I think I just fell in love with her!”

The leader of horror’s splat pack, Eli Roth, has revealed that his barmitzvah had a ghoulish theme to it and that when his parents told the rabbi their son would grow up as a Hollywood director he laughed.
Recalling his coming of age, Roth says the barmitzvah cake was shaped like a clapperboard with blood on it and his party saw him being cut in half with a chainsaw by a magician.

Drink companies in Japan as well as the USA and UK are looking to snap up jazz songstress Amy Winehouse to front advertising campaigns, on TV, billboards and print.
The north London smoky-voiced singer is said to be on a list of celebrities set to be courted by three global drink firms.
According to an insider, Winehouse could make up to £2m if she chooses to endorse a drink company and its alcohol range.
