Actor David Duchovny has finally made peace with a movie critic who slated his directorial debut five years ago.
The actor has held a grudge against TV personality and film critic Richard Roeper ever since he gave 2004 film House of D - which Duchovny wrote, directed and starred in - a thumbs down.
So when the actor heard his appearance on Monday’s The Tonight Show with Jay Leno would be followed by the critic, he took the opportunity to settle their score.

Actor Josh Brolin sparred with his liberal step-mother Barbra Streisand - when she protested his role in new George W Bush biopic W.
The singer has been an outspoken opponent of Bush throughout his two terms in the White House.
And according to Brolin, Streisand freaked out when he told her he would be playing him in Oliver Stone’s movie.

Former Friends star David Schwimmer has quashed rumours of a movie version of the hit TV series - blaming the press for fuelling speculation about a reunion.
The show came to an end in 2004 after 10 seasons, but the cast have been dogged by rumours of a possible big screen adaptation ever since.

Gwyneth Paltrow can add fitness guru to her resume - she has reportedly been asked to release a fitness DVD.
The svelte star, once famed for following a strict macrobiotic diet, will share her tips for staying trim without using gym equipment.
A source told The Sun: “She will show what she does each day to stay slim - mostly pilates, yoga and resistance training.”
Former teen star Corey Feldman has accused Michael Jackson of damaging his childhood, by befriending and then abandoning him.
The two became close after Feldman found fame as a young star in movies Gremlins, Goonies and Stand By Me.
Feldman admits Jackson has helped many children by becoming a friend and mentor - but claims he does more harm than good, by dropping kids when he gets bored.
