Funnyman Lenny Beige – the alter-ego of comedian Steve Furst – is making a comeback at a special one-night show in London’s West End, which will pay tribute to performer Anthony Newley.
Once In A Lifetime…A Night Of Newley: The Man And His Music, will be performed at the Pigalle Club in Piccadilly on March 12.
It will see Beige – aka Furst – performing some of Newley’s best-known songs including What Kind Of Fool Am I and Talk To The Animals. A number of surprise guests are also promised.
Furst first found fame with the charismatic Beige on TV shows including Five’s Night Fever. He spent five years appearing at London’s Regency Rooms club, with the likes of Robbie Williams and Lionel Blair guest-starring in his shows.
He has also worked with a string of comedians including Sacha Baron Cohen and Matt Lucas as well as appearing in advertisements for mobile phone company Orange.
