Flamboyant American comedienne Ruby Wax has been named as one of the hosts of the 2007 Chocolate Ball, which will be held at London’s swanky Dorchester Hotel on March 23.

The annual event – in aid of the children’s cancer charity CLIC Sargent – is a celebration of chocolate, with guests encouraged to eat as much as they want.

Ruby will co-host with BBC Sport presenter Chris Hollins.

The funny lady, who was born Ruby Wachs in Illinois in 1953, was seen most recently on TV fronting the Sky One reality show Cirque de Celebrite.
