Movie legend Dustin Hoffman is putting his collection of 18th and 19th Century furniture up for sale at Christie’s in London.
The items will go under the hammer on March 27th at the South-West London auction house.
The star has not revealed why he is offloading his antiques, from his home in West London’s Kensington, at the auction. According to reports in British newspapers, Hoffman looks set to raise between £25,000-£40,000.
Included in the auction are a mahogany chest, as well as mid-19th Century chairs.
“With the celebrity factor involved, this could make more money than usual, especially if fans want to own something that they believe a celebrity has sat on or used,” said one dealer.
