English actress Rachel Weisz hasn’t given up on appearing in another The Mummy movie - she’s appealing to writer Stephen Sommers to pen a third installment in the blockbuster film series.
Weisz scored her Hollywood breakthrough as an aspiring Egyptologist in 1999’s The Mummy and 2001’s The Mummy Returns, and she’d leap at the chance to return to the action-packed role.
“Well I hear rumblings that Stephen Sommers is writing one. But I don’t know if it’s rumour or true,” she told Empire magazine. “But would I want to do it? Yeah, why not! Get the family back together again. Go on some adventures.”
