Israeli Porn Video Slammed Over Kosher Logo

The producer of a new adult DVD showing off the delights of Israeli porn stars has been attacked by a New Jersey Rabbi - for using a kosher stamp on the cover, without permission.
Rabbi Yehuda Rosenbaum, whose company KOF-K Kosher Certification authenticates food including meat, grains and dairy products for the Jewish market, says Oren Cohen has no right using his stamp on Assraelis.
Rosenbaum’s lawyers have fired off a cease and desist letter to Cohen and his Van Nuys, California production company Tight Fit.
They maintain Tight Fit is using the symbol “illegally” in violation of State and Federal Law, and they threaten to sue Cohen if the situation is not rectified “as quickly as possible”.
Cohen, who shot the film entirely on location in Israel, tells website TMZ.com he finds the whole matter “funny”, but will not modify the cover art before the film’s release next week.

Rosenbaum should lighten up and be glad of the publicity!
One of my best friends works in the Kof-K. According to the way I heard this story yesterday (before this was written), the media has sort of exaggerated some of the details. He said they barely even knew this happened.
Someone noticed the DVD cover and informed the Kof-K, who seemed more suprised than angry over it.
The press called the Kof-K and asked if they were upset by it, etc… and somehow (like the game of telephone), the story mutated into the Kof-K threatening law suits.
The Kof-K has every right to be upset about this, but they honestly aren’t making as big of a deal as this seems.
According to some of the employees of the Kof-K, this is more like a marketing stunt by the pornographer.
So, Paul, before you start saying the Kof-K should just take the publicity, take a moment to think about who here really stands to gain from publicity… a Kashrus agency already respected
in the orthodox world, or a smut dealer who wants to sell his wares to the general public? I suspect he did it on purpose…
It’s not a “publicity stunt”. It’s just a symbol on some packaging.
Lighten up, that lawsuit would go nowhere.
