Dog-lover Joan Rivers is suffering nightmares after fearing she ate man’s best friend in China.

The comedienne took her first trip to the country last year as part of a charity project, and is convinced one mystery meat she ate on a night out was dog.

She said: “You say to them, ‘Is this dog? Just tell me,’ and they say, ‘No, no, no…’ (but) I know I ate dog. I love dogs; I have three rescue dogs - you hate to eat what you love.”
