Jazz singer Amy Winehouse has no plans to go into rehab to deal with her drinking, despite much media attention on her well publicised boozy shenanigans.
Speaking to Star magazine, the north-London songstress says she doesn’t believe it works as well as some people claim.
“Rehab works for some people but for some it doesn’t. I’ve got a few mates who are in and out all the time,” she says. “But I’m of the school of thought if you can’t sort something out for yourself no one can help you. You’re lost if you can’t sort yourself out.”
The 23-year-old also admitted she can be pretty nasty when it comes to getting shikker: “I’m not a nice drunk. If I’m going to the gym a lot I’m lovely to be around when I drink because I’m flirty, cuddly and really silly. But if I haven’t been training or if there is something bothering me, then I’m a terrible drunk.”
